From towering excavators to nimble compact track loaders, an impressive lineup of the largest equipment manufacturer brands in the business have chosen Yanmar engines to power their equipment. The past year showcased the versatility of the Yanmar engine portfolio.
Whether manufacturers needed a compact powerhouse engine for their latest excavator or a heavy-duty workhorse for a dump truck, Yanmar delivered customized solutions to help bring these machines to life.
Let’s look back at 2024 and see all the equipment manufacturers who chose Yanmar engines to power their machines.
ASV
Pioneering track loader manufacturer ASV, a Yanmar Compact Equipment brand, launched multiple new track loaders powered by Yanmar diesel engines. The company introduced the RT-65 Posi-Track, a new-generation mid-size track loader for contractors and landscaping and construction markets. It is powered by a 67.1 horsepower Yanmar 4TN86CHT diesel engine. It offers Yanmar’s SmartAssist telematics system, which allows users to remotely monitor and track the location and operating status of the Yanmar engine. The same 4TN86CHT engine also powers the ASV VT75 and VT80.
ASV also launched two products in the VT line: the VT-75 MAX-Series Posi-Track compact track loader for construction and landscaping applications and the VT-80 Posi-Track compact track loader for bigger jobs with attachments, such as mulchers, snowblowers, and asphalt planers. The VT-75 and the VT-80 feature Yanmar’s 74.3 horsepower 4TN86CHT diesel engine for vibration reduction.
Hyundai
Hyundai introduced two new machines featuring Yanmar engines in 2024. The first, the HX55ACR compact excavator, includes a Yanmar 4TNV86CT 59-horsepower diesel engine as part of its next-generation HX-A Series. The HX55ACR compact excavator is the HX-A Series’ compact radius model for reduced tail swing. It offers a dig depth of 12 feet 8 inches and includes auto idle to reduce engine speed when the excavator is not used to preserve fuel.
John Deere
John Deere unveiled a new 335 P-Tier compact track loader for construction sites. The new 335 P-Tier is powered by a 114.7-hp Yanmar diesel engine, which is designed to help reduce vibration. The 335 P-Tier includes a new hydraulic system and a customizable eight-inch touchscreen display interface. The machine features onboard diagnostics that enable operators to navigate through a diagnostic and settings menu to look up detailed information on current machine settings and active codes.
Scag
Commercial-grade lawn maintenance equipment manufacturer Scag Power Equipment expanded into the light construction market by introducing the Jackal line of stand-on mini skid-seers. Compact, versatile construction machines, the Jackal uses tracks and interchangeable attachments to handle everything from moving soil and materials to grading, demolition, and snow removal in tight spaces where larger equipment can’t access. Scag chose the Yanmar 3TNV80FT turbo diesel engine for its 35.5-inch and 40-inch racking width models to offer its customers two turbo options in the Jackal line.
Terramac
Crawler carrier manufacturing specialist Terramac launched a new wheeled dumper series that included two models with Yanmar diesel engines. The new series is designed for high carrying capacities at faster speeds than its traditional rubber-tracked models.
The Terramac D6 Rear Dumper has a 72-horsepower Yanmar Tier 4 engine and a carrying capacity of 13,230 pounds. It has an eight-yard bed volume and can travel up to 24.9 miles per hour. Terramac also introduced a larger DS70 Swivel Dumper with a 72-horsepower Yanmar Turbo engine. The larger DS70 can carry up to 15,432 pounds of material and travel up to 17.4 miles per hour. The 7,700-pound swivel dumper has a 180-degree dumping range to help operators place materials precisely.
Toro
Toro introduced a special limited edition Dingo TX 1000 turbo compact utility loader featuring a 3TNV80FT Turbo Diesel Final Tier 4 engine. The Yanmar-powered limited edition Dingo TX 1000, which comes in solid red and black versions, delivers increased torque and significantly boosts productivity when using popular landscape attachments such as trenchers and augers.
We applaud our partners for their innovations in 2024 and look forward to collaboration in 2025 and beyond.
